SPOKANE — Police in Spokane have recovered a stolen Super Bowl ring belonging to former Chicago Bears player Stefan Humphries. But other memorabilia are still missing after the former football player’s home was ransacked last month.
Humphries told the Spokesman-Review Friday that he was devastated but hopes he’ll see his things again.
The former offensive guard played on the 1985 Bears Super Bowl team.
Humphries’ University of Michigan Rose Bowl championship ring also was taken, but police found it and other stolen items in a motel room in Post Falls, Idaho, after they arrested a 24-year-old man accused of gun and property crimes.
Humphries is the former director of St. Luke’s Rehabilitation Institute in Spokane. He lived in Spokane until last month when he took a job in Nevada.
