LAKE STEVENS – Community Transit officials say the inaugural bus runs from the new Lake Stevens Transit Center on Wednesday were among the best first runs of any transit center in Snohomish County.
“This is a really good route start,” Lake Stevens Mayor Lynn Walty said. He also is a transit board member.
There were 12 riders on the first bus, 15 on the second, 26 on the third, and 10 on the day’s final run Wednesday, he said.
“People were really excited and said that saved them a lot of time,” he said.
The center connects riders with buses to Granite Falls, Marysville, Everett and Seattle.
