PREP TRACK ROUNDUP

EDMONDS — Putting on a show. That’s what the Shorecrest boys and girls track teams did Thursday night, handily winning a three-team Wesco South meet held at Edmonds District Stadium.

The deep Scots boys squad outscored second-place Lynnwood by more than 100 points and the even stronger girls outpointed the Royals and third-place Meadowdale by more than 100 points combined.

“They’ve got the depth in the Wesco South when it comes to the girls,” said Lynnwood track coach Duane Lewis.

In fact the Shorecrest girls won 13 of the 18 events, sweeping the three relay races. Both junior Alexis Ramos and sophomore Elisa Ahern won two events each.

On the boys side, it wasn’t much different as seven different Shorecrest individuals won events, with only junior Joseph McConaughy registering more than one win (800- and 3,200-meter runs).
