Snohomish County voters continue to approve most school levies, bonds

The Monroe School District operations levy, which was failing after initial results, was passing Thursday with 50.4% of the vote.

 

Ballots for special election are due Feb. 10

Voters can use ballot drop boxes or visit a post office for a manual postmark to ensure their ballot is counted before the deadline.

 

Hurst wins Lynnwood mayoral race

Council member George Hurst had the lead over incumbent Christine Frizzell with 51.2% of the vote after Monday’s ballot drop.

Marine retains Mukilteo mayoral seat

Joe Marine will serve a fourth term in office. Bob Champion and James Sterba will serve on the city council.

Bui wins race for Court of Appeals position

Bui earned 52.7% of the vote while Moore earned 47.0%, results Monday showed.

Escamilla, Mata, Owings, Leutwyler elected in Lynnwood

Derica Escamilla, Bryce Owings and Robert Leutwyler maintained leads Monday. The margin grew between Isabel Mata and Ki Seung Cho.

Two incumbents, one challenger, win in Everett school board races

Shaina Langley defeated Roman Rewolinski in a narrow race for a seat on the school board. Two other incumbents up for election won with wider margins.

Edmonds council results: Chen, Eck, Barnett elected

Chris Eck will retain her seat with 63.3% of the vote. Erika Barnett beat Alex Newman with 52.1% of the vote.

Franklin wins reelection as Everett mayor

Cassie Franklin’s lead over challenger Scott Murphy extended to more than 2,000 votes on Friday. She will serve a third term in office.

Weir, Rhyne, Schwab, Burbano win Everett council seats

Don Schwab and Paula Rhyne will retain their seats on the council. Political newcomers Luis Burbano and Erica Weir will join them in January.

Monroe mayor race: Early results show Cudaback leading

Former council member Patsy Cudaback led with 58.2% of the vote while council member Heather Fulcher trailed with 41.4% For the open City Council seat, incumbent Kevin Hanford led with 61.5% and Joscelyn Jones trailed with 38.3%.

Garrard to retain Edmonds school board seat

Incumbent Thomas Garrard led with 69.9% of the vote Thursday. Challenger Jason Moore trailed with 29.9% of the vote.

Hoffman continues lead over Redmon in mayor race

Most City Council incumbents lead in their races. Anup Deol leads incumbent Karen Guzak for the Position 7 seat.

Challenger in Position 2 likely to unseat incumbent in Lake Stevens.

Sabina Araya, Brian McManus, Tosha Edwards and Nathan Packard are leading, according to results Thursday.

Sam Low is likely to remain in the District 5 county seat

As of Thursday, Low received 54.1% of the vote while Johnson trailed with 45.8%.
