ARLINGTON — An Arlington man is facing a felony malicious mischief charge because he allegedly decided to say it with flowers.
The man, 41, was arguing with his girlfriend at the White Horse Tavern on March 23 when he told her, "Watch, I’m going to jail tonight," according to court papers filed Wednesday in Snohomish County Superior Court.
That’s when the man stepped outside the tavern, picked up a heavy planter box filled with dirt and flowers, and tossed it onto the hood of his girlfriend’s 1988 Toyota four-wheel-drive pickup, deputy prosecutor Erica Temple alleged.
The alleged incident caused nearly $1,500 damage to the truck, documents show.
