Tell Sound Transit what mass transit projects should be included in a tax measure that could go to voters in November 2016. A meeting in Everett on Thursday will be an opportunity to see some of the proposed light-rail routes to Everett and rapid-transit bus routes on I-405, starting in Lynnwood.
The meeting is set for 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Everett Station, 3201 Smith Ave.

New scholarships: Gold Bar firefighters have new ways to pay for public safety training.
The Les Putnam Memorial Paramedic Education Foundation supports paramedic schooling for crews. The Bert McClellan Memorial Scholarship will support Sultan High School seniors in training or education related to public safety.

See local talent in Marysville: The Marysville Strawberry Festival talent show is set for 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the auditorium at Marysville Pilchuck High School, 5611 108th St. NE. Admission is $5 at the door; kids under age 7 are free.
The show features 23 acts, including vocalists, dancers, a guitarist, pianist and more. The youngest performer is 4 years old. Five judges will determine trophy and ribbon winners, and an overall winner will participate in the Strawberry Festival Twilight Parade.
