OLYMPIA — Police are trying to find the hit-and-run driver who seriously injured a pedestrian early Thursday and then crashed into several parked cars in Olympia, including a police car.
Police say the officer heard the car approaching at a high rate of speed. After the crash the driver got out and ran away. The officer chased him for eight blocks, but he got away.
The Olympian reported that the injured pedestrian was flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Two other people who were trapped in their vehicles after they were hit were taken to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia.
