MEDFORD, Ore. – Somebody set fire to a toilet paper dispenser in the men’s restroom at a Medford theater, and the manager thinks he knows why.
“It was not a coincidence that this was the opening weekend of ‘Jackass 2,’ “Tinseltown theater manager Steve Rhay said.
He said Tinseltown had problems all weekend with teens trying to get into the R-rated “Jackass Number Two,” and he suspects someone denied entry to the film set the fire.
The fire touched off sprinklers, which damaged the restroom and a corridor. About 500 people evacuated the theater, which reopened Monday afternoon after a cleanup.
Rhay said theaters across the country reported increased vandalism when the first “Jackass” movie came out in 2002.
