TULALIP — Warren S. Day, 59, died after being hit by a car Saturday in Tulalip, the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office announced Tuesday.
Day was from Mount Vernon. An earlier report from the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office incorrectly stated he was from Arlington.
Day was walking in the 6300 block of 33rd Avenue NE around midnight early Saturday morning when he was hit, according to the sheriff’s office. He died at the scene.
The driver, a 49-year-old Marysville woman, stayed at the scene and cooperated with detectives.
The sheriff’s office Collision Investigation Unit was investigating the cause of the collision. Detectives believe Day was walking in the lane of travel when he was struck.
Day died of blunt-force injuries, the medical examiner found.
