ARLINGTON – Police are investigating a hit-and-run incident that killed a pedestrian earlier this morning.
Someone called 911 about 4:40 a.m. after seeing a man’s body lying in the road in the 17000 block of 51st Avenue NE, south of the airport, according to assistant city administrator Kristin Banfield.
Medics arrived and found the man. They immediately called police to investigate, Banfield said. Detectives the Snohomish County sheriff’s collision investigation unit also are on scene to investigate the fatality.
The victim, 22, was from Arlington.
At this time police don’t have a description of the vehicle involved. They are asking anyone who may have seen the hit-and-run to call the police department at 360-403-3400.
