EVERETT — Police arrested a man who allegedly fired at least one gunshot on Everett Community College’s main campus Saturday morning.
The shot was fired around 8 a.m. near Jackson Center, the event center in the middle of the campus.
No one was hurt. It appears that no one else was near the building when the man fired, and no property damage has been discovered, according to the college.
Police arrested an adult male at about 8:20 a.m., said Officer Aaron Snell, a spokesman for the Everett Police Department. It is unclear at this point what the man’s motive was for firing the shot, or whether he has ties to the college as a student or staff member.
“We’re still working on it,” Snell said.
The college has promised to work closely with police on the investigation.
