The City of Everett wants to implement a tax on the sale of firearms and ammunitin to raise money for funding programs having to do with gun awareness (“Everett ammo, gun tax proposal modeled after Seattle, Tacoma,” The Herald, June 29).
The only models they have to go by are two of the largest cities in the state, which have lost money every year since starting that tax. They also lost all the tax revenue of the businesses that left. I am so glad Everett doesn’t manage my retirement fund.
