Thank you for trip of a lifetime

I would like to thank the Puget Sound Honor Flight for a most amazing experience they afforded me. This was a trip to Washington, D.C.

My friend John Burbank, my son Larry, a Vietnam veteran, and myself were on the May Honor Flight. Our friend Rod Lam and his son, Rocky, who were to be with us, had to cancel at the last minute, but the PSHF has already booked them for the October flight.

This is one terrific organization of volunteers who do a completely fantastic job and service for the vets. They are so well organized and dedicated to providing a safe, comfortable and memorable trip. To anyone who makes donations, I would recommend one to this group.

Also thank you to the people, young and old, who were at Sea-Tac Airport to see us off and those who welcomed us on our return … it brought tears to my eyes.

Thank you also to Alaska Airlines and crews who were so nice, and the beautiful blankets each of us was given. Thanks, too. to a lovely lady, Cheryl Scheeler, who gave me a beautiful hand-sewn quilt I shall cherish all my days.

Thanks to all the people who made this trip of a lifetime for a 91-year-old man. God Bless them all for what they did for us.
