EVERETT — A pair of local minor-league teams begin preparations for their upcoming seasons Tuesday.
Both the Everett AquaSox Northwest League baseball team and the Washington Wolfpack Arena Football League team hold their first practices Tuesday.
The Sox, who are in their 40th anniversary season, take to Funko Field on Tuesday afternoon. Everett opens the season on the road against the Hillsboro Hops at 6:35 p.m. Friday. The Sox’s begin their first six-game homestand next Tuesday when they host the Eugene Emeralds at 7:05 p.m.
The Wolfpack, who are embarking on their inaugural season, hold their first practice Tuesday evening at the Everett Soccer Arena. Washington also opens its season on the road, facing the Oregon Black Bears on April 27. The Wolfpack play their first home game on May 5 when they welcome the Rapid City Marshals to Angel of the Winds Arena.
