When he was a student-athlete at Kamiak High School in Mukilteo, Alex Tilley never qualified for the state high school championships.

Yet now Tilley is a star on the Western Washington University track and field team.

How did he do it? Check out Scott M. Johnson’s interview with Tilley, The Herald’s College Athlete of the Week.

Tilley recently won four events and set three meet records while representing WWU at the University of Puget Sound Invitational. Tilley talks about that and much more in his interview with Scott.
