Anyone who attended the Seahawks victory parade and is not planning to stay for the rally at CenturyLink Field would do well to leave as early as possible to get home, according to Sound Transit and Community Transit.
The system was so overloaded this morning that many riders were stranded, according to Sound Transit.
Another alternative would be to stay longer and wait for the crowd to thin out. More updated information from Sound Transit may be available on its Rider Alert page, Facebook and Twitter, and from Community Transit on its Twitter page.
All regular bus routes will run regularly scheduled trips. At this time there are no reroutes, but expect delays.
Sounder Northline trains will operate on their regular schedule. Trains at 4:05 and 4:33 p.m. will have extra cars.
Community Transit will have six to eight “special” buses operating out of Seattle, starting at approximately 2:30 p.m. These will travel southbound on Second Avenue to pick up passengers.
Special buses will travel to the Lynnwood park-and-ride lot via the Aurora Village Transit Center.
Extra Swift buses will run from Aurora Village north on Highway 99 to Everett Station.
There will be extra Sound Transit trips out of Seattle starting at about 3 p.m. – 510 to Everett; 511 to Mountlake Terrace, the Lynnwood park-and-ride and Ash Way.
