YAKIMA — The Washington State Patrol says a car fleeing from a trooper near Toppenish ran through a stop sign at Buena and crashed into a mobile home, injuring a 14-year-old girl.
The patrol said the crash happened just before midnight Tuesday on the Yakima Valley Highway as the trooper chased the driver from Toppenish.
The driver, 20-year-old Nathena Jim of Wapato, was treated at Yakima Memorial Hospital, then booked in the Yakima County jail for investigation of drunken driving, eluding and vehicular assault.
The 14-year-old girl who was in the home was taken to Yakima Memorial Hospital.
