This time of year, folks in the fire service start getting nervous about turkey fryer fires.
Luckily, we didn’t have any major ones this past Thanksgiving, which is typically a leading day for cooking-related fires in homes.
Here’s what Lake Stevens fire district public educator Alison Caton had to say:
“Turkey fryers are extremely dangerous and most safety organizations do not recommend their use. Be very cautious if you choose to use one, and only use them outside.”
If you don’t believe her, maybe you’ll believe William Shatner. He stars in this video of firefighter demonstrations of turkey fryer fires.
